The Berkley Riverfront Development Site is an ideal location along the Missouri River and is close to downtown Kansas City and the City Market. The master plan for the 45-acre riverfront development site calls for the creation of a world-class urban village of offices, residential and retail space, and cultural amenities – all designed to improve the quality of life within the urban core.

The bar and restaurant will be built out of repurposed shipping containers with healthy, locally sourced food featured on the menu.
Construction has begun on the facility, located on the western edge of Berkley Riverfront near the Heart of America Bridge, with an opening planned for summer 2018.
Bar K is currently operating in a temporary space called “Bar K Lab” in the West Bottoms. It is an indoor dog park, bar and lounge. There are weekly events, and it is available for rental for private events. Please view more information on Bar K’s website.
KC•CORE: Connecting Our Riverfront for Everyone
KC•CORE: Connecting Our Riverfront for Everyone will physically reconnect Berkley Riverfront with a 0.7-mile extension of the City’s successful Downtown streetcar system – extending from its current terminus near 3rd Street and Grand Boulevard across the existing Grand Avenue Bridge and onto the Riverfront. This extension will also include construction of a new multi-use trail that will widen the Grand Avenue Bridge. Port KC, Kansas City Streetcar Authority and Kansas City Area Transportation Authority are pleased to partner on the KC Streetcar extension to reconnect the Riverfront to serve all Kansas Citians while improving safety, providing enhanced access to employment opportunities and igniting and accelerating economic development activity on Berkley Riverfront.
